Se4All Secondment in Rome Begins: A Synergy of Global Minds in Sustainable Food Innovation

Rome, April 23, 2025 – Se4All proudly kicked off the first days of its Rome-based secondment with a vibrant international exchange hosted by REDINN. On April 21, 2025, we welcomed researchers from Argentina and Spain to Italy, launching a week-long mission to strengthen cooperation and innovation in selenium biofortification and sustainable food systems.

Our visiting researchers —
👩‍🔬 Leticia E. Toselli (INTA),
👩‍🔬 Julieta Comin (INTI),
👩‍🔬 María Jesús Sánchez Martín,
👨‍🔬 Alejandro Fuentes García,
👨‍🔬 Lázaro Armando Pérez Acosta (UAB) —
began their secondment with strategic orientation sessions at REDINN, focused on aligning project goals and interdisciplinary impact.

On April 22, the group engaged in a strategic workshop with REDINN to map out measurable secondment outcomes. The day also featured a unique study visit to Beppe e i Suoi Formaggi, a renowned artisanal cheese maker in Rome. This cultural experience linked traditional food production with modern innovation in sustainable nutrition.

This collaboration highlights Se4All’s commitment to advancing functional food research through practical exchanges, market relevance, and global partnerships.
