UNIBO Hosts Se4All Delegation for Innovation Dialogue in Bologna

BolBologna, May 5, 2025 – The Se4All secondment continued this afternoon with an enriching academic exchange hosted by the University of Bologna’s DISTAL Department, bringing together researchers from Argentina, Spain, and Italy to deepen cooperation in sustainable food systems.

The session was led by Professors Barbara Cimatti and Giampaolo Campana, whose expertise in innovation and industrial systems created a powerful platform for collaborative exploration.

Joining the session were:
👩‍🔬 María Julieta Comin and Leticia E. Toselli from INTI (Argentina)
👨‍🔬 Lázaro Pérez Acosta from UAB (Spain)
👨‍💼 Leonardo Piccinetti and 👩‍💼 Donatella Santoro from REDINN (Italy)

The dialogue focused on:

  • Functional food design and Se-enriched dairy innovation
  • EU research frameworks and technology transfer mechanisms
  • Horizon Europe collaboration potential
  • Real-world pathways from academic knowledge to food chain innovation

This visit exemplifies Se4All’s goal of empowering researchers to co-create sustainable solutions through cross-border exchange, academic partnership, and science-driven action.

We thank UNIBO and all participants for making today a success — and for championing a more resilient and health-conscious agri-food future.

Stay tuned as the Se4All journey continues across Italy.
