Final International Workshop Se4All

Dairy Products at the Forefront of Nutrition

Unveiling New Trends and Future Opportunities in Selenium-Enriched Dairy

The Selenium for All (Se4All) project is set to host its final international workshop in Argentina on September 3, 2025. This pivotal event, titled “Dairy Products at the Forefront of Nutrition: New Trends and Future Opportunities,” will bring together leading experts and stakeholders to discuss advancements in enhancing selenium concentration and bioavailability in milk and dairy products. The workshop marks a significant milestone for the Se4All project, a European initiative funded by the Horizon 2020 – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme (Grant Agreement No. 101007630).

The Se4All Project: A Vision for a Selenium-Enriched Future

The Se4All project addresses the critical issue of selenium deficiency, a growing concern exacerbated by climate change’s impact on soil selenium levels. The project’s core vision is to combat health issues arising from Se-deficient diets by producing selenium-enriched dairy products. This is achieved through an innovative approach: introducing Se-biofortified hay as a natural nutrient source into the diets of milking cows. This interdisciplinary project fosters cooperation between industry and academia, promoting research training and career development alongside knowledge sharing to advance the field of selenium biofortification.

Workshop Program: A Deep Dive into Dairy Innovation

The 4th International Workshop Se4All promises a comprehensive program designed to explore the latest trends and opportunities in dairy nutrition. The event will commence with participant registration and welcome remarks from authorities and representatives from INTI, INTA, UNL, and UAB.
