The event was organized by the <strong>Circular Economy Network<\/strong> and the <strong>Fondazione per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>ENEA<\/strong>, and under the patronage of the <strong>European Commission<\/strong> and the <strong>Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security of Italy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Se4All delegation was represented by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dr. Leticia E. Toselli<\/strong> (INTA \u2013 Argentina)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr. Mar\u00eda Julieta Comin<\/strong> (INTI \u2013 Argentina)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of their secondment at REDINN in Italy, the researchers joined Italian and international experts to engage in dialogue around circular economy strategies, sustainable development, and innovation in the agri-food and environmental sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the conference, the <strong>2025 Report on the Circular Economy in Italy<\/strong> was presented, highlighting Italy\u2019s leadership in Europe with an <strong>83.2% overall recycling rate<\/strong> and <strong>71.5% packaging recycling rate<\/strong>, far exceeding EU targets. The report positioned Italy as a model for effective national policy implementation aligned with the <strong>European Green Deal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A standout moment came from <strong>Claudia Brunori (ENEA)<\/strong>, who presented a comprehensive view of <strong>biotechnology&#8217;s role<\/strong> across red (medical), green (agri-food), white (industrial), and blue (marine) sectors. Her message underscored the role of <strong>science, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration<\/strong> in accelerating the circular transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference also addressed the importance of fully implementing a suite of key EU regulations, including those on <strong>ecodesign<\/strong>, <strong>packaging<\/strong>, <strong>right to repair<\/strong>, <strong>greenwashing<\/strong>, and <strong>urban wastewater<\/strong>, as tools to drive competitiveness and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThis event reinforced our commitment to circular innovation in food systems. We are bringing home valuable insight that connects science, society, and policy,\u201d<\/em> said Dr. Mar\u00eda Julieta Comin (INTI).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Se4All project continues to
